Maria Montessori
Maria Montessori was an Italian physician and educator who developed the Montessori method of education, based on her observations of children's natural learning processes. She was one of the first women to earn a medical degree in Italy and devoted her life to advancing child-centered education, founding schools worldwide and writing influential works on pedagogy.
