Maria Fyfe

Maria Fyfe (née O'Neill) was a Scottish Labour politician, teacher, and lecturer born in Glasgow to a tram driver and shop assistant. She served as MP for Glasgow Maryhill from 1987 to 2001, was a prominent campaigner for women's rights, and contributed to near-equal gender representation in the Scottish Parliament.[1][2]
