Marguerite de Navarre
Marguerite de Navarre (also known as Marguerite d'Angoulême) was a French Renaissance princess, Queen of Navarre by marriage, and an influential writer, patron of humanist thought, and supporter of religious reform. She is best known for 'L'Heptaméron,' a collection of stories that remains one of the major works of French Renaissance literature.
