Margaret McNamara
Margaret McNamara is the pseudonym of Brenda Bowen, a Christopher Award-winning children's book author, editor, and literary agent who has written over three dozen books for young readers, including the popular Mr. Tiffin series, Fairy Bell Sisters chapter books, and Robin Hill School early readers.[4][5] She chose the name to honor her maternal grandmother from County Clare, Ireland, one of the few girls in her village who could read and write.[4] Many of her stories draw inspiration from her daughter's school experiences and her own, and she lives in New York City with her family, spending summers in Maine.[4]
