Margaret L Lial

Margaret L. (Marge) Lial, born in Sacramento, California, was a dedicated teacher and accomplished author of college mathematics textbooks. A graduate of Sacramento High School (Class of 1945), she attended Sacramento City College and UC Berkeley before marrying Ed Lial. She co-authored over thirty textbooks, with the Lial series becoming a gold standard in math education, and mentored many young women math writers.
