Marcie Wessels

Marcie Wessels is a children's book author who earned a B.A. in English and Spanish from John Carroll University, an M.A. in Spanish from Bowling Green State University, and a Ph.D. in Latin American Literature from Tulane University. After teaching Spanish in San Diego, California, she left academia following the birth of her children to focus on writing picture books such as *The Boy Who Thought Outside the Box* and *Pirate’s Lullaby: Mutiny at Bedtime*. She co-hosts a Mother Daughter Book Club at her local library since 2016.
