Marcia Muller
Marcia Muller is an American mystery and thriller writer best known for creating Sharon McCone, the first hard-boiled female private investigator in an American crime fiction series, introduced in 1977. She has written over 35 novels in the Sharon McCone series and numerous short stories, earning six Anthony Awards, a Shamus Award, and the Mystery Writers of America Grand Master Award. She lives in northern California with her husband, mystery writer Bill Pronzini.
