Marcel Gervais

Marcel André Joseph Gervais (1931–2023) was a Canadian Roman Catholic prelate who served as auxiliary bishop of London from 1980 to 1985, bishop of Sault Sainte Marie from 1985 to 1989, and archbishop of Ottawa-Cornwall from 1989 to 2007. Born in St. Elie, Manitoba, he studied at St. Peter’s Seminary in London, Ontario, and was known for his passion for evangelization, with the motto 'evangelizare.' He passed away in Ottawa at age 91.
