Marc van Oostendorp
Marc van Oostendorp is a Dutch linguist and Esperantist born in Rotterdam on December 15, 1967, specializing in dialectology, phonological microvariation, and interlinguistics.[1][2] He has held positions as a senior researcher at the Meertens Institute since 1999, professor of Phonological Microvariation at Leiden University from 2007 to 2017, and currently serves as professor of Dutch and Academic Communication at Radboud University.[1][4][6] A prolific writer, he engages the public through radio commentary, columns, blogs, and books on language.[2][5]
