Marc H Ellis

Marc H. Ellis (August 27, 1952 – June 8, 2024) was an American author, liberation theologian, and retired professor of Jewish Studies at Baylor University, widely recognized as a leading authority on contemporary Judaism and one of the most influential Jewish thinkers of his generation[2][3]. He pioneered Jewish liberation theology by connecting Latin American liberation theology with post-Holocaust Jewish thought and authored more than twenty books, including Judaism Does Not Equal Israel[1][2].
