Major Richard D. Starnes

Richard D. Starnes is a historian specializing in the American South and has served as Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Western Carolina University since 2012.[2][3] His published work focuses on Southern history, tourism, and culture, including books such as *Creating the Land of the Sky* and *Southern Journeys*.[2]
