Maggie Berg
Maggie Berg is a Professor Emerita of English at Queen's University in Ontario, Canada, specializing in Victorian literature, literary theory, feminist theory, French and psychoanalytic theories. Born in Portsmouth, England, and raised on Hayling Island, she moved to Canada to develop her academic career and co-authored the influential book *The Slow Professor: Challenging the Culture of Speed in the University* (2016), which has been translated into multiple languages and sparked an international movement. She has also served as a research development manager at the Interdisciplinary Health Sciences Institute (IHSI) at the University of Illinois.
