Mae M. Ngai

Mae M. Ngai is an American historian and the Lung Family Professor of Asian American Studies and Professor of History at Columbia University. Her scholarship focuses on immigration, citizenship, nationalism, race, and Asian American history, and includes widely recognized books such as *Impossible Subjects* and *The Chinese Question*.
