M. Laroussi

Mounir Laroussi is a Tunisian-American scientist and professor of electrical and computer engineering at Old Dominion University, known for his pioneering research in low-temperature plasma science and its biomedical applications. His work helped establish the field of plasma medicine, including early studies showing that cold plasma can inactivate bacteria without damaging mammalian cells.
