Lynne Parenti
Lynne Parenti is a research scientist and curator of Indo-Pacific freshwater and coastal fishes at the Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History, specializing in systematics, phylogeny, biogeography, comparative anatomy, development, and reproduction of tropical freshwater and coastal marine fishes.[1][2][4] She previously served as a research scientist at the California Academy of Sciences from 1984 to 1989 before joining the Smithsonian in 1990.[1] Parenti is a coauthor of works such as Comparative Biogeography and has contributed articles to Smithsonian Magazine.[4][5]
