Lydia Monks

Lydia Monks is a bestselling and award-winning British illustrator and author of children's picture books, best known for her collaborations with Julia Donaldson on series like What the Ladybird Heard and Princess Mirror-Belle.[1][2][5] Born in Surrey, England, she studied illustration at Kingston University and now lives in Sheffield, where her distinctive collage style has earned awards including the Royal Mail Scottish Children's Book Award.[1][4] She also created the preschool series Twit Twoo School and draws inspiration from everyday life.[1]
