Luigi Capogrossi Colognesi is an Italian legal historian and Romance philologist specializing in Roman law, agrarian property, and family history. He graduated in Law from the University of Rome, advancing through academic positions including professor of Roman Law at the Universities of Macerata and Pisa, and later holding the chair of History of Roman Law at Sapienza University of Rome. His career includes prestigious awards such as honorary degrees, membership in the Academia Europaea, and the Polish Republic's Cross of Merit.[1][4][5][6]
