Louis Kronenberger
Louis Kronenberger (1904–1980) was an American literary and dramatic critic, novelist, and biographer, best known for his long tenure as drama critic at Time magazine from 1938 to 1961. Born and educated in Cincinnati, Ohio, he worked in publishing and at Fortune before joining Time, later becoming a professor of theater arts at Brandeis University. He authored notable works on 18th-century England, drama, and American culture, including Kings and Desperate Men (1942) and Marlborough's Duchess (1958).[1][2]
