LOST iN the City

Edward P. Jones is an American short story writer and novelist best known for his debut collection, Lost in the City, a set of 14 stories about African-American life in Washington, D.C. The collection won the PEN/Hemingway Award and helped establish him as a major literary voice; he later won the Pulitzer Prize for fiction for The Known World.
