Loraine Despres

Loraine Despres is a former television writer and novelist born in Chicago, Illinois, who grew up in Louisiana. She is best known for writing the iconic 'Who Shot J.R.?' episode of Dallas and later transitioned to novel writing, publishing her debut novel The Scandalous Summer of Sissy LeBlanc in 2001 to critical acclaim.
