Lois Ehlert
Lois Ehlert (1934-2021) was an American author and illustrator of children's books, primarily focused on nature themes. She was best known for her innovative collage work using cut paper, fabric, and found objects, creating visually striking picture books with bold colors and dynamic designs. She won the Caldecott Honor in 1990 for Color Zoo and the Boston Globe-Horn Book Award in 2006 for Leaf Man.
