Lloyd Alexander
Lloyd Chudley Alexander (1924-2007) was an American author of more than 40 books, primarily fantasy novels for children and young adults. He is best known for The Chronicles of Prydain series, which drew heavily from Celtic mythology and the Mabinogion. His work received numerous accolades including the 1969 Newbery Medal for The High King and multiple National Book Awards.
