Lizzie Williams

Lizzie Williams was a British travel writer originally from London, who lived and worked in Africa from 1995, based in Cape Town, South Africa. She authored over 30 guidebooks on countries including South Africa, Namibia, Kenya, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, and Uganda, and wrote numerous articles on African travel after starting as an expedition leader and backpacker. A prolific and much-loved author, she passed away late in 2025.
