Liz Kessler
Liz Kessler is an English author born on 15 October 1966, best known for her children's books, particularly the Emily Windsnap series about a half-mermaid. She studied English at Loughborough University, trained as a teacher at Keele University, and earned a Master's in Creative Writing from Manchester Metropolitan University, working previously as a teacher, journalist, and creative writing tutor. She lives in St Ives, Cornwall, and has written over twenty books for children and young adults, including series on fairies, time travel, and superpowers, with many translated into multiple languages.
