Liv Torunn Grindheim

Liv Torunn Grindheim is a professor in early childhood education at Western Norway University of Applied Sciences (HVL), holding a PhD in sociology of childhoods from NTNU (2014). She leads the research group 'Kindergarten as Formative Educational Arena' focusing on children's, students', and teachers' activities, and serves as editor of the journal Nordic Early Childhood Educational Research. Her research draws on children's sociology, cultural-historical approaches, philosophy, and critical ethnography, and she coordinates the Master in Kindergarten Knowledge program.
