Linda B. Gambrell

Linda B. Gambrell is a Distinguished Professor of Education in the Eugene T. Moore School of Education at Clemson University, where she teaches literacy courses and previously served as Director of the School of Education from 1999 to 2006. She began her career as an elementary classroom teacher and reading specialist in Prince George's County, Maryland, and has held positions such as Associate Dean for Research at the University of Maryland. Gambrell has led major reading organizations including the International Reading Association and Literacy Research Association, was inducted into the Reading Hall of Fame in 2004, and is a prolific author on reading motivation and instruction.
