Liliane M. V. Haegeman

Liliane M. V. Haegeman is a Belgian linguist and professor known for her influential work in generative grammar, syntactic cartography, and the syntax of Germanic languages. She earned her PhD at Ghent University in 1981 and has taught and conducted research at institutions including Ghent University and the University of Geneva. Her books, including Introduction to Government and Binding Theory and Thinking Syntactically, are widely used in linguistics.
