Li Dong is a writer, director, and producer born in Harbin, China, who moved to Canada at a young age. He graduated from Dalhousie University with honours in English and history and later earned a law degree from Dalhousie Law School before briefly working as a professional poker player and then attending Werner Herzog's Rogue Film School.
