Lewis Carroll
Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, better known by his pen name Lewis Carroll, was an English author, mathematician, photographer, and poet born in Daresbury, Cheshire, England. He is most famous for his children's classics Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (1865) and Through the Looking-Glass (1871), which originated from stories he told to entertain children during a boating trip. Carroll also wrote nonsense poetry like The Hunting of the Snark and pursued interests in logic, games, and photography throughout his life.
