Dr. Leta Hong Fincher is an award-winning journalist, author, and scholar specializing in gender inequality in China, known for books like 'Leftover Women: The Resurgence of Gender Inequality in China' and 'Betraying Big Brother: The Feminist Awakening in China'. She is the first American to earn a Ph.D. from Tsinghua University's Department of Sociology in Beijing, holds degrees from Harvard (BA with high honors) and Stanford (MA), and serves as a Seminar Associate at Columbia University's Weatherhead East Asian Institute.[1][2][3][5]
