Leslie Silbert

Leslie Silbert is an American writer and former private investigator known for her debut novel *The Intelligencer* (2004), a spy thriller inspired by the life of Christopher Marlowe during her studies of Elizabethan drama at Oxford University. After graduating from Harvard in 1998 with a degree in the History of Science, she worked briefly in a New York private investigation firm under a former CIA agent before dedicating herself to writing. She is described as a Renaissance scholar who incorporates her investigative background into her historical thrillers.
