Leslie Jamison
Leslie Sierra Jamison is an American novelist and essayist born on June 21, 1983, in Washington, D.C., known for her New York Times bestselling works including the essay collection *The Empathy Exams* and the memoir *The Recovering* [1][3]. She directs the nonfiction concentration in the MFA program at Columbia University School of the Arts and currently lives in Brooklyn [1][2]. Her latest memoir, *Splinters*, was published in February 2024 [2].
