Leslie Griffiths

Leslie John Griffiths, Baron Griffiths of Burry Port, is a British Methodist minister, politician, and life peer who served as President of the Methodist Conference from 1994 to 1995 and as Superintendent of Wesley’s Chapel in London.[1][2][3] Born into poverty in South Wales, he worked as a minister in Haiti and the UK, became a Labour Party member in the House of Lords in 2004, and served as an opposition spokesperson and whip from 2017 to 2020.[3][6] He is also an author of books on theology, world affairs, and contemporary culture, and an accomplished broadcaster.[2][6]
