Leonard Cassuto

Leonard Cassuto is a Professor of English at Fordham University, specializing in American literature and culture, nineteenth-century African American literature, disability studies, creative writing, and American higher education.[1][3] He is the author or editor of nine books, including The New PhD: How to Build a Better Graduate Education (2021, with Robert Weisbuch), The Graduate School Mess (2015), and The Cambridge History of the American Novel (General Editor, 2011).[1][2] An award-winning journalist, he writes on graduate education for The Chronicle of Higher Education and has contributed to outlets like The New York Times.[1][4]
