Leila B. Gemme

Leila B. Gemme was an American author known for writing children's sports biographies, including 'King on the Court: Billie Jean King,' which highlights the tennis champion's efforts for women's equality in professional tennis, and 'The New Breed of Athlete' published in 1975. She also authored 'The New Breed of Performer' and 'Soccer Is Our Game.' Leila married Francis Robert Gemme in 1964, had three children, and lived in Connecticut and California.
