Lee Goldman MD ,

Lee Goldman, MD, is a prominent cardiologist, researcher, and academic leader who developed the Goldman Index for cardiac risk in non-cardiac surgery and the Goldman Criteria for chest pain evaluation, and led the creation of the Coronary Heart Disease Policy Model. He held key positions including Professor of Medicine and Epidemiology at Harvard, Chair of Medicine at UCSF, and from 2006 to 2020 served as Dean of the Faculties of Health Sciences and Medicine and CEO of Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He is the lead editor of the influential textbook Goldman-Cecil Medicine and has authored over 500 publications on heart disease prevention and treatment.
