Lee Child
James Dover Grant, known by his pen name Lee Child, is a British author best known for his Jack Reacher thriller novel series, which follows a former American military policeman wandering the United States. Born on October 29, 1954, in Coventry, England, and raised in Birmingham, he worked for 18 years in television production before being made redundant in 1995 at age 40, prompting him to write his debut novel Killing Floor (1997), which won the Anthony and Barry Awards for Best First Novel. He now lives in the USA, has sold over 100 million books, and has co-authored recent Reacher novels with his brother Andrew Child.
