Lawrence Wilkes

Lawrence Welk was an American accordionist, bandleader, and television host born on a farm near Strasburg, North Dakota, to German-Russian immigrant parents. He hosted The Lawrence Welk Show from 1951 to 1982, featuring his signature 'champagne music' style that became known for its light, family-friendly easy listening entertainment.[1][2][3]
