Lawrence Wells

Lawrence Wells is an American author, publisher, and editor based in Oxford, Mississippi, best known for his memoir 'In Faulkner’s Shadow,' which recounts his marriage to William Faulkner's niece, Dean Faulkner Wells, and his experiences in Faulkner's literary circle[1][2]. He founded Yoknapatawpha Press with his late wife and co-founded the Faulkner Newsletter and Yoknapatawpha Review, while also authoring historical novels 'Rommel and the Rebel' and 'Let the Band Play Dixie,' earning the 2014 Faulkner-Wisdom gold medal[1].
