Lawrence J. 'Larry' Magid, Ed.D., is a technology journalist, internet safety advocate, and CEO/co-founder of ConnectSafely.org, with columns syndicated since 1983 in outlets like the Los Angeles Times and Mercury News.[1][3][7] He served 20 years as CBS News technology analyst, authored books on computers and online safety, founded SafeKids.com and SafeTeens.com, and contributed to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.[1][3][7] Earlier, he edited PC Magazine, co-founded a computer training company, and worked on IBM PC manuals.[3][7]
