Lawrence G. Potter

Lawrence G. Potter is an adjunct associate professor of International Affairs at Columbia University, where he has taught since 1996, specializing in the history of Iran and the Gulf and U.S. policy toward the Middle East.[1][3] A graduate of Tufts College, he earned an M.A. in Middle Eastern Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, and a Ph.D. in History from Columbia, and he taught in Iran for four years before the revolution.[1] He edited 'The Persian Gulf in History' and has contributed to Encyclopædia Iranica on topics like the Gulf War and Persia.[4][5][7]
