Laurie Halse Anderson

Laurie Halse Anderson is an American author renowned for her young adult novels, including the breakthrough title Speak (1999), which addresses adolescent experiences with brutal honesty, as well as historical fiction like Fever 1793 and the Seeds of America trilogy.[1][2][3] She began her career as a freelance writer and journalist after graduating from Georgetown University, later focusing on books for young readers, teens, and adults that have sold over 8 million copies.[5][6] Anderson has received major awards such as the 2010 Margaret A.
