Laurie B. Friedman is an American author born in 1964 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She is best known for the Mallory McDonald chapter book series for 7-10 year olds and has written over fifty critically acclaimed picture books, chapter books, and novels for young readers. She currently lives in Miami with her family.
