Lauren Oliver
Lauren Oliver, born Laura Suzanne Schechter, is a New York Times bestselling American author known for young adult novels including the Delirium trilogy, Before I Fall (adapted into a 2017 film), Panic (adapted into an Amazon Prime series), and Vanishing Girls, as well as middle-grade books like Liesl & Po and adult novel Rooms.[2][1][3] Raised in Westchester, New York, by literature professor parents, she studied literature and philosophy at the University of Chicago and earned an MFA in creative writing from NYU, later working at Penguin Books before becoming a full-time writer in 2009.[4][3][7] She is also a screenwriter, media entrepreneur, and cofounder of Glasstown Entertainment, dividing her time between Maryland, Los Angeles, and formerly Brooklyn.[3][9][8]
