Laura Resau

Laura Resau is an American author born in 1973 in Baltimore, Maryland, known for her acclaimed books for young people inspired by her travels and work in Latin America, as well as recent adult novels like The Alchemy of Flowers. With a background in cultural anthropology and ESL teaching, she has lived in places such as Oaxaca, Mexico, Provence, France, and currently resides in Colorado where she teaches creative writing at Western Colorado University. Her works, including collaborations like The Queen of Water and award-winners such as What the Moon Saw, have earned five Colorado Book Awards and recognition from Oprah and the American Library Association.[1][2][5]
