Larry Dane Brimner

Larry Dane Brimner (born November 5, 1949) is an American teacher, presenter, and prolific author of over 150 children's books, ranging from fantasy stories for young children to nonfiction works for older readers, many focusing on civil rights themes.[1][2][3] Notable awards include the 2008 Jane Addams Children's Book Award for We Are One: The Story of Bayard Rustin, the 2011 Orbis Pictus Honor for Birmingham Sunday, and the 2018 Robert F. Sibert Medal for Twelve Days in May.[1][2][6]
