Larousse (Firm)
Larousse (Firm), officially Éditions Larousse, is a French publishing house founded in 1852 by Pierre Larousse and Pierre-Augustin Boyer as a bookstore in Paris's Latin Quarter. It became renowned for producing major reference works, including the 15-volume Grand dictionnaire universel du XIXe siècle (1866–1876), the first in a series of acclaimed dictionaries and encyclopedias. The firm continues to publish educational and reference materials today.
