L S Hilton

L.S. Hilton is the pseudonym of British author Lisa Hilton (born 1974), a best-selling writer of historical fiction, non-fiction history books, and psychological thrillers including the Maestra trilogy (Maestra, Domina, Ultima). She studied English at New College, Oxford, followed by art history in Florence and Paris, and has lived in cities such as New York, Paris, Milan, and London, working as a journalist, art critic, broadcaster, and historical consultant. A Fellow of the Royal Historical Society, she has also presented BBC documentaries and published recent works like The Scandal of the Century (2024) under her real name.
