L. Pearce Williams

L. Pearce Williams (1927–2015) was an American historian of science and professor at Cornell University, where he helped found the university’s program in the History and Philosophy of Science and Technology. He is best known for his influential biography of Michael Faraday and for his scholarship on 19th-century physics, especially the work of Faraday and André-Marie Ampère.
