L. Macbean
L. Macbean, also known as Lachlan Macbean (1853–1931), was a Scottish editor and writer born in Tigh-na-coille, Kiltarlity, Invernessshire, Scotland. He edited The Fifeshire Advertiser in Kirkcaldy and was actively involved in resurrecting almost forgotten Gaelic songs, with notable works including Songs and Hymns of the Gael and Lessons on Gaelic.
